Harmony Hockey Group Acquires Jersey Shore Whalers Tier I Youth & Junior Hockey Program

The Harmony Hockey Group is pleased to announce that it has acquired the Jersey Shore Whalers Tier 1 Youth and Junior Hockey Program.

The purchase of the Whalers program included a U16, U18 and junior team. With the acquisition, the Harmony Hockey Group has been granted Tier I status from USA Hockey and the Atlantic District and will be expanding the program to include Squirt Minor (2012 birth year), Squirt Major (2011 birth year), Pee Wee Minor (2010 birth year) and Pee Wee Major (2009). Combined with the existing U16 and U18, all teams were granted Tier 1 AAA status inside the Atlantic District.

2021-22 season tryouts for the squirt and pee wee teams are scheduled to begin on April 14, and May 5 for the U16 and U18 teams. For more information, please visit our website jswhalers.com.

The Harmony Hockey Group plans on expanding the junior program by adding USPHL Premier and maintaining USPHL Elite.

The Jersey Shore Whalers will call the historical Ocean Ice Palace in Brick, NJ, their home venue.

Director of Hockey, George Haviland stated, “By acquiring the Whalers, The Harmony Hockey Group will expand their footprint as the only sanctioned Tier 1 organization in this region of New Jersey. I am excited to grow our footprint and serve the hockey communities with a first-class hockey experience at the Ocean Ice Palace in Brick, New Jersey.”

The Harmony Hockey Group is made up of an ownership team who has over 20 years of experience in owning and operating Tier I and Tier II boys’ and girls’ programs as well high-end junior teams. Harmony Hockey Group’s leadership is proved successful when it comes to its mission of placement and development of players. The group is determined to bring their leadership experiences to the Whalers to grow and support the continued success of the program.
